The German Development Institute / Deutsches Institut für Entwicklungspolitik (DIE) draws together the knowledge of development research available worldwide and dedicates its work to key issues facing the future of international cooperation.

DIE's policy advice and consulting services are focused on the framework conditions of development policy, including world economic policy, foreign policy, and security policy.  DIE’s research is theory-based, empirically-backed and application-oriented.

The program examines different strategies for the protection of the global climate, the environment and natural resources and assesses the extent to which they meet the transformative requirements of the Paris Climate Agreement and the 2030 Agenda.
