EDGE (Excellence in Design for Greater Efficiencies) is a multi-attribute green building rating and certification system focused on making residential and commercial properties in emerging markets more resource-efficient.  It is a service of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) created with the aim to help the countries become more sustainable as they accommodate increasing urbanization.

EDGE comprises a web-based software application, a universal standard, and a certification system.  Project design is analyzed and verified by an EDGE Auditor and certified by GBCI.

It enables developers and builders to identify cost-effective ways to incorporate energy- and water-saving options into their buildings.
