The NCFA provides knowledge and tools that help the financial sector and others collaborate to reduce and manage the risks of environmental impacts and dependencies. It works through partners and supporters who share the project’s goals and objectives.
The NCFA is led by a steering committee made up of leading financial institutions and environmental experts. It oversees strategy and provides direction and oversight for the alliance, while member institutions road-test the tools and methods.
The NCFA is committed to the integration of natural capital considerations into financial sector reporting and to standardize ESG factors into lending, investment and insurance decision-making.
