The Austrian Sustainable Building Council (ASBC) – Österreichische Gesellschaft für Nachhaltiges Baue (ÖGNB) – provides a comprehensive open-source solution for building assessment in Austria. The ASBC considers that the sustainable development of the construction industry can only be achieved only through open collaboration and sharing of knowledge, resources and distribution facilities.
The assessment system is designed in close consultation with klimaaktiv, an initiative of the Austrian government focused on environmentally sustainable building and incorporates insights from the Austrian government's Building of Tomorrow programs.
The ASBC collaborates closely with interested policymakers, building industry experts and researchers, businesses and government authorities.
