Active House is an international alliance between public, private, industry and consumers with its secretariat in Brussels, Belgium.  Active House is a certification system managed by a board of members and a group of partners made up of universities, architecture studios, and companies in the building sector.

Active House defines its three principles as comfort, energy and environment, with little consideration of economic aspects.  It is mostly used for single-family houses.

The Active House Radar displays the interdependent parameters.  It is designed as a tool for setting goals within the three principles when designing new buildings or renovating existing ones.
