GOLF

The Global Observatory on Local Finance (GOLF) is intended to improve and fine-tune the advocacy of UCLG on local finance.  It curates and shares information on local and regional government finance.

The platform makes available publications dedicated to local finances, country profiles summarizing the situation of local governments in over 100 countries, financial instruments implemented in cities around by local governments, and a digital library.  It presents the key issues of local taxes and land valuation and external factors.

It focuses on the main financing sources of local governments and analyzes the factors of success for the financing of urban development.
