The SEEDIS Forum

SEEDIS

SEEDIS is an independent and unaffiliated, nonprofit civil society initiative that promotes solutions for the sustainable development and operation of the built environment and its stakeholders.  SEEDIS profiles the private-, public- and third-sector providers of the solutions and features them and their services on the SEEDIS platform and at SEEDIS forums.

SEEDIS encourages the interaction and engagement of all stakeholders in our communities to further the sustainable development and use of land, buildings, and infrastructure.  Sustainable development calls for social, environmental and economic solutions during the construction, operation, maintenance and deconstruction of the built environment.

SEEDIS aims to foster constructive dialog between the different stakeholders in our communities to ensure an objective, balanced and fact-based development of a sustainable built environment.  The relevant stakeholders in the development and operation of the built environment are invited to engage with us and promote their services and solutions.

The Forum

The Sustainable Development & Investment – Solutions for Hospitality & Cities forum advances the latest intersector solutions for the sustainable development and operation of the built environment in our communities.  The forum allows for cross-functional collaboration and promotion of the solutions along the entire project value chain.

The sustainable development of projects calls for the engagement of all project stakeholders throughout the project and property life cycle (see Program).  The forum is for the involvement and collaboration of all stakeholders who participate in or are impacted by the development and operation of real estate and hospitality projects and the discussion of the latest solutions.

The forum is being organized for project participants, national, regional, and local government authorities as well as civil society to promote and learn about the latest solutions for sustainable city and hospitality development projects.  Its topics range from the project concept, business case, financing, and project development to investing, asset management, operation, and project disposition and property deconstruction or demolition.

Forum Stakeholders

The forum stakeholders are the speakers, exhibitors, and sponsors who will promote their services and solutions for sustainable cities and hospitality at the forum.  Their engagement assumes their commitment to furthering the sustainability of the built environment.

The forum is intended for professionals in the real estate and hospitality sectors and other community development stakeholders.  These include city and government building authorities, property developers, architects, designers, contractors, consultants, lenders, investors, operators, suppliers, destination managers, and travel and tourism promotion bureaus plus the citizen groups where the development projects take place.

Private-sector stakeholders and their trade organizations can promote their services and solutions and invite their business partners, clients, colleagues, and contacts to engage with us in discussion.  The academic community and nonprofit civil society organizations are encouraged to present their research, resources and tools for facilitating the transition towards sustainability.  Public bodies and their representatives are also encouraged to participate and discuss policies that encourage the sustainable development and operation of the built environment in communities.
