DMC per Capita

Domestic material consumption per capita (DMC per capita) visualizes domestic material consumption per person within an economy.  Per-capita DMC is an environmental pressure indicator the describes the average level of material use in an economy.

Domestic material consumption (DMC) is a territorial production-side indicator that reports the amount of materials used in a national economy and describes the physical dimension of economic processes and interactions.  DMC also presents the amount of material either added to material stocks of buildings and transport infrastructure or used to fuel the economy as material throughput.  It can be interpreted as long-term waste equivalent.
