EDGE App

The EDGE App calculates the utility savings and reduced carbon footprint of buildings against a base case to demonstrate ways to lower their environmental impact.

The tool is made available by International Finance Corporation (IFC) to developers and builders to quickly identify the most cost-effective ways to reduce energy use, water use, and embodied energy in materials.  It can be used for many building types, including hospitality, retail, offices, hospitals, and education.

Certification by GBCI by an EDGE auditor validates the achievement of a minimum projected reduction of 20% in energy, water, and materials as benchmarked against a standard building.
